Marlana VanHoose national anthemMarlana VanHoose was born with Cytomegalovirus (CMV). In many people, it goes unnoticed, because it has no symptoms. In Marlana, however, it prevented her optic nerves from developing. She is blind. We hear all the time that people are more than their disabilities, and being intelligent, compassionate humans, we believe that. But when we come across a breathtaking example of this truth, it’s always a bit humbling.
